Northern Ireland Embroidery Guild

The N. I. Embroidery Guild was set up in 1980 to promote the craft and exhibition of embroidery.  The Guild provides a focus and meeting place for people to learn new skills through lectures, demonstrations and workshops. The N.I.E.G. aims to raise public awareness of the high standard of textile work in Northern Ireland by exhibiting the work of members.

Meetings are usually held on the third Saturday of the month at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra.  See 'Programme' for details. There is no entry charge to the Folk Museum to attend a Guild Meeting.  Parking is in the 'Town car park' adjacent to the Parochial Hall.  Annual Membership of the Guild is £20 and there is a £3 fee for visitors.  If you enjoy the embroidery featured on this website, come along to the next meeting and have a look for yourself.  Coffee is served from 10.30 a.m. and the talk is from 11.00 - 12.00.  Visitors are always very welcome.
